Review:

I enjoy reading horror, psychological and erotica books but usually they are not all rolled into one like Bled. This book is raw, raw, raw. It gets its teeth into you from the first couple pages and hooks you along until you come to the end. This book is not my typical read but I was very interested in seeing how the novel would unfold. I knew from the beginning that it isn't your average horror or erotica novel, it does contain explicit sexual scenes. That in mind I jump in with both feet and an open mind.

I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars. Why? Because I found it hooked my attention right away, kept me picking back up the book until I was finished. I love the writing style of Slain and was fascinated with the story he was able to tell. Never would I have thought Geocaching would be so dangerous.

Cassie is  a tough girl, she won't take any crap from anyone especially not her boyfriend, who really needs emotional help and some anger management. She even has some great kicka#$ moves that will get her out of trouble. This book does have abuse emotionally and physically, so there were times that I couldn't wait to get through a certain part. All in all I think Slain did a great job on his debut novel and I can't wait to read more by him.

Genuine Jenn is back!

Hi readers!

It has been a long year and I have been working through some personal family things. I am now working my way back into blogging. I have missed posting my reviews and look forward to connecting with authors, readers and other bloggers. This is a new year, a new start in life and so much more. Lets connect and chat!

This year I will still be posting reviews on fiction books but I will be posting more personal development, fitness and health books as this is where my life is at the present time. I may also write more personal posts but this is still undecided. I would like to share my past experience and help others who have been through the same or going through it right now but I am not sure I am there just yet.

Keep your eyes peeled for new reviews as I have still been reading and have a stack of books that are waiting on reviews. I am starting out slow so I am aiming for two reviews each week.

If you love to read. I am still looking for other readers who are interested in being part of the Genuine Jenn review team. Shoot me an email from the Contact page.

Keep smiling! Life is Beautiful!

Review:

I enjoyed this book because it was different from most psychological thrillers that I have read lately. Celeste's daughter becomes very ill and the next thing you know Celeste is wrapped up in this other kind of life where she is on the run after making a huge mistake. Celeste leaves her daughter and runs for her life instead of sticking it out and finding out what will happen. This was a tough read because I could never see myself running and leaving my children behind. Each page made me wonder when Celeste would stop and go back to see if her daughter is better and alive or it she will just start a new life on her own.

I give this book a 3.5 out of 5 stars as sometimes I just couldn't like the characters as their behaviours drove me crazy.
