This isn't his first goal in his soccer career but it is his first this season! He has been really shy to get in and get the ball. He says he is afraid to kick someone. I keep reassuring him that it happens and the boys have shin pads on for a reason. Last night he seemed to have no fear and got the goal he has been waiting for.
After the game he asked me "Know how I got the goal?" I said "how?" "Because you were cheering for me!" He was beaming. What a game!
