My little boy turns into a big boy

Sorry I have been missing for the last week or so. We have been having some problems with our main computer. I will get back on the menu planning Mondays for next week.
This week my lil boy is attending a program called Step into Kindergarten. It's a weekl ong into to kindergarten. He will be going tomorrow for day 3 and he is LOVING IT! I will post pictures of his first day as soon as I get them on a computer. He has been very excited to go to school and this has been a great experience for him so far. When I went to pick Parker up on the first day this other lil boy says "buddy buddy" and ran up to Parker to give him a hug and say bye! it was soo cute to see them interacting after just being around each other for 3 hrs.
Our daycare provider is also the TA helping with the Teacher so it made for a great transition, and the teacher this week is Parker's teacher come the fall. He will be familar with her when he starts.

Abby is also a changed lil girl lately. We have been experiencing the terrible two's even through she wil be 3 at the end of September. I'm hoping this will end sooner than later.
Well I think I will call it a night in a few minutes and head to bed. Til next time~~~

New Camera

I'm really in need of a new point and click camera. Something that the flash is quick on for fast kids! Also not more than $150 Canadian. With a good zoom/close up. I'm looking for all comments and reviews on cameras you own or know of :) I am looking for something I can carry at all times to take pictures of the kids playing or nature pictures.
I am looking at this camera

It's a 12 mp with a 3x optical zoom. It sells for $119
Then there is the next step up and it is 12 mp with a 4x optimal zoom and a f/3.0-5.8, 28-112mm lens.. Sells for $149

Does anyone know anything about these cameras?

Menu Planning Monday July 12/10

I missed last week menu planning but then we ended up with the hottest heat I think I have ever experienced. So it was okay since most of the food was macaroni or BBQ. This week I will actually try to stick with the menu.

I am going to ask for everyone's help though. My mother looks after our kids when we are working. I work 3 times a week in the evening and every second weekend. My mother used to make lots of different foods, usually not by a recipe. Since my father passed away 4.5 years ago she doesn't seem to be able to figure out a lot of things. I'm thinking its apprehension but I don't know. So what I am asking is for all the idea's that are quick, easy and budget friendly. Here are the things she has made without me prepping the meal before hand:
- spaghetti
- mac and tuna
- mac and cheese
- Sheppard's pie
- wraps with meat and cheese
- anything in a can
That's all I can think of at the moment. Any help would be great!

Monday - Out at a friends cottage
Tuesday - hmm.. will have to get back to you on this
Wednesday - Egg salad Wraps/Sandwiches
Thursday - Hot dogs and pasta salad
Friday - Hamburger Pasta
Saturday - out for supper at the in laws :)
Sunday - Beef Stroganoff - $5 Dinners

What a week~

This has been one HOT week! We have been sitting in the 40C with the humidity for most of the week. I think yesterday was only 38C or so! We did hit the beach most of this week. Either the lil pool in town or the beach.

This year we have decided to purchase an annual to our local Conservation Authority. It was $45 for the summer and we can visit 5 local areas. I think this will be a well spent $45. The children love to play in the sand and water. Two of the areas are about 40-45 mins away but the one beach is not even 20 mins away. There is wildlife trails we can go to, plus hiking trails and another beach.

Yesterday we went to the beach in the morning before the rain hit. We pulled in and there were no other cars! It was soo nice to have the beach and sand for my children and myself. We got a hour swim in before the thunder rolled in and it down poured!

Last night it continued to rain and soccer for Parker was not canceled. They only played about 30 mins but it was a wet night.

Today feels a bit cooler but I'm working all weekend :( This week I will try my hardest to get my menu planning Monday up. I will try and work on it this weekend.

Happy Ending

We have 3 cats, all from the same cat family but all very different. They are all brown tabbies though. Their names are Marty, Swiper and Annabell. Swiper and Marty are the two boys and they love to be outside. We have one neighbor who I don't think likes cats too much but he sister in law has 3. The cat lady we will call her "B", She lives across the road from us. The sister in law who lives a couple houses down from us, we will call her "W" she has a dog.

Well Swiper is noisy we are told from "B" and she doesn't like it. "W" has already taken a cat from our place and put it at the animal shelter. By the time we found out, she was up for adoption even though she had a Micro Chip. So last Tuesday night Swiper didn't come in. No big deal he would be back in the morning. Morning came, no Swiper. The days went by still no Swiper. I worked all weekend and we didn't see the cat. On Monday morning I called our Animal shelter to see if he turned up. The lady said there was a nice friendly brown tabby picked up from our area that was told to have been a stray for a long time. So I packed up the kids and we went to find out if it was our Swiper. We got there and it was indeed Swiper who was SOOO happy to see up he almost knocked Abby over. The lady who brought the cat in said he was sooo vicious and attacked her big dog to the point she had to take him to the vet. But keep in mind she was able to catch him to take him in to the shelter. I had to pay to get my cat back! This lady will pay, she has done this with our other cat and another neighbors cat about a year ago. Revenge is a B*T@H! Two little children missed their loving cat that you will pay! In our town it's against By-Law to have your cat leave your property, so from now on I guess we will have to harness our cats up and hope they don't hang themselves. This gives me one more push towards the country and out of our township which royally sucks with all the rules and people who live here!

Tuesday - Mac and tuna
Wednesday - Need some idea's :) Please leave me idea comments.. something easy and quick since it's my mom who will be making supper while I'm at work and they need to be out the door for soccer..
Thursday - Fish and Chips
Friday - Bean and Rice Burritos
Saturday - Spaghetti
Sunday - Sheppard's Pie

I will try and add recipes during the week. I did not do too bad with last week. I will edit last week's post to let you know what got changed.

Week in review

Happy Father's day to my hubby and all the other hubby's out there! I changed my menu this week a bit, mostly just the days. Today I am going to make a beef stew in the crockpot and it's a good thing since it's only 8am and already 20 degrees out!

Yesterday I went to my first Forever Living Products team meeting and met my manager Oliver. It was a great presentation and I can't wait to get my FLP business up and running in full swing. If you are interested in FLP please email me and I will answer any questions you have! It's such a great natural product!

On Monday I will start my new position, I am really looking forward to it. I will no longer be living by that call and run. YAY at least til next April!

I will work on my menu plan today and I hope to have it up by tonight or tomorrow morning.
