Amazing Canadian Country Singer Codie Prevost Review

I have been a huge country music fan for as long as I can remember. I grew up country I guess you could say, both my parents loved country and we listened to it all the time. Recently I had the opportunity to review a new album from a Canadian Country singer, Codie Prevost.
Codie Prevost grew up on a farm near Archerwill, Saskatchewan Canada. Codie started preforming in small town bars less than ten years ago for $100 a night. In 2004 Codie took out a small business load to fund his first album The Road Ahead. His debut album won "Album of the Year at the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards. In 2008, he recorded his second album Spin 6-PAK Vol.1. A few short years later he recorded his third album Get Loud and is now working on his fourth album which is due to release in 2013.
Four time Saskatchewan Country Music Association Awards “Entertainer of the Year”. Codie success has seen him opening shows for the Oakridge Boys, Joe Nichols and Emerson Drive. In 2011 Codie had nearly 7,000 votes and won the 2011 CCMA Fanfest Contest which gave him the opportunity to perform at the 2011 CCMA FanFest in Hamilton with Terri Clark and Michelle Wright. Codie has performed the main stage at major country music festivals including Dauphin Countryfest, Craven Country Jamboree, VIEX and the Havelock Country Jamboree. At these events, he performed alongside such names as Reba, Kenny Chesney, Gretchen Wilson and Kevin Costner.
After spending tons of time listening to Codie's album, Get Loud, I absolutely love it! If you are a country fan you will also love his music I am sure of that. It is a very easy album to put on anytime during the day or evening. It has been a great fixture to my hour commute to work. I can't really say I have a favorite as I love them all. I do really enjoy Codie's take on Cotton Eye Joe as his bonus track.
