In the Snows of Haz by Maxine Janerka - Book Review

Book Description:

Small towns keep their secrets well, and snowy, isolated Haz Gate is no exception. But when a wealthy stranger from the capital is murdered in the night and one of her students stands accused, schoolteacher Linna Nyx has to dig through deceptions thicker than the snow in midwinter to piece together the truth, and comes face to face with a killer who would destroy not only Linna’s peaceful existence, but the very order of the Empire itself.

Book Review by Carmen:
This book was unfortunately not quite to my taste. The writing was nicely done and I also liked two of the characters - though for me some things came sort of out of the blue, there could have been a little bit more written about the people that decided to commit the crime. I ended up giving the book a 3 star rating. I got a copy in exchange for an honest review.
