Canadian Coupon Mom getting a face lift?

In the coming months Canadian Coupon Mom will be getting a face lift. I have thought about it for awhile now and really think now is better than later to make the change for Canadian Coupon Mom. I am going to work on my own background, banner and button. I have used Photoshop Elements to digital scrapbook in the past so I am sure I can figure something out.

Also Canadian Coupon Mom is going to get it's own Domain! Does any one have any advice on getting your own Domain? I was thinking of just going through Blogger but I have been reading other blogs who have a web hosting also. Should I do both? I am still so new to all that techie stuff. I know I will lose my blog traffic stats but Canadian Coupon Mom is coming up to 1 year at the end of May so I feel it will be okay.

I am also very interested in going to Blissdom Canada. To learn more about blogging, and social networking. Canadian Coupon Mom and A Motherhood Experience would love to have a sponsor to Blissdom Canada 2011. If you are interested please contact me at foreverhealthyaloe at hotmail dot com.

I'm excited about the site face lift. I know it will be great! I have been an avid reader since your previous blog and I'm still here. Can't advice on techie stuffs though, I'm not that techie. :)

Oh and by the way, A world-class and captivating event is happening
this March 9 to 13 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver – Cirque Du Soleil’s Quidam!. You can win 2 tickets courtesy of Coquitlam Centre easily by uploading your best Quidam photo. The photo
with the most likes wins the 2 tickets! This is an opportunity you wouldn't want to miss.

  2. Thanks Melanie! I'm happy to have you here. I will post about the Cirque Du Soleil's Quidam. That would be awesome to see!

  3. I use blogger with my own domain and it's very easy to switch it over.

Buy the domain name you want (I use GoDaddy), DON'T buy hosting service from them. I checked and and .ca are available and both together will cost you under $25 for a year of registration.

In Blogger, under Settings > Publishing, select the advanced option to use your own domain name. It will give you instructions on how to configure your CNAME records at GoDaddy (or wherever) so that the domain name you buy points to

It's pretty easy if you read the instructions carefully.

If you need help, send me an email and I'll lend a hand.

  4. Also, the beauty of doing it that way means you won't lose any of your existing traffic here.

  5. Thanks The Mrs. I went searching and I think I will go with GoDaddy also. At first it sounds easy but hmm not sure I will give it a try and if I'm stuck I will send you an email. Thanks for your help and for following my blog.
