Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups Review & Giveaway

I am very excited about Disney's new release today, Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups! We absolutely loved the first Santa Paws and have watched in NUMEROUS times. The whole family including Nanny has watched it more than once, so when I was asked if we would like to check out Santa Paws 2 I didn't even have to think twice! I know my kids will love it as they have loved all of the Disney puppy movies including all the Buddies.

Here is a bit about the film before I tell you our thoughts.

The North Pole has a new litter of playful pups! However, when the frisky foursome—Hope, Jingle, Charity and Noble—practically destroy Santa’s Workshop with their mischievous gamboling, they realize the best way to prove that they’re responsible enough to become Santa’s Helpers is to show how well they can spread the Christmas spirit all by themselves.  With help from a magic crystal, they start granting everyone’s wishes. But their good intentions backfire when one unhappy boy asks that Christmas go away forever! With his wish impetuously fulfilled, and the joyous spirit quickly disappearing from the planet, Mrs. Claus and the pups have to find a way to reverse the spell—or risk losing Christmas forever

Our thoughts: We were really excited to be introduced to the four new Santa pups - Hope, Jingle, Charity and Noble. My son loved Noble because he had the crystal to help make wishes for all the kids in Pineville. My daughter loves all the pups but I think her favorite character in the movie is Eddie (dog) Santa's little helper. The Santa pups are on a mission to help Pineville keep the Christmas spirit alive. They borrow Eddie's magic crystal and set out to prove they can have their own crystals by spread the Christmas spirit. The mission backfires when they grant a wish to make all the Christmas stuff go away. The people in Pineville catch the Christmas cold and it spreads almost like a flu. In this movie we get to know Mrs Claus and see her use her magic to help save Christmas with two little children who have recently lost their mother in the fall. This really is a special magical movie just in time for Christmas. I love Jingle who thinks her voice is very soothing but really she needs to practice more. I suggest for anyone that gets teary eyed easily to grab some tissue before sitting down to watch it as there are a few sad parts. A great family movie!

Disney Movie Rewards are included in the combo pack and if you go to the site you can order your very own Eddie the Elf Plush toy. It is free but you need to pay for shipping which is $2.95. The offer is available until December 31,2012.
