HEXBUG Spider ~ Review

Have you heard of HEXBUG toys? They are these tiny bug type robots. They have been a huge hit with kids of all ages for awhile now. My kids have recently discovered HEXBUGS and were really excited when I told them we were going to have the chance to check out the new HEXBUG spiders.

"New to the HEXBUG Micro Robotic Creature product line is the HEXBUG Battle Spider, the first mechanical HEXBUG designed for two-person play! These sci-fi battling robots have a remote control and come fueled with futuristic voice & sound effects and high-tech infrared battling capabilities. HEXBUG Battle Spiders will amaze with their realistic recoil and physical response when hit and when shooting. Its unique, battle-hardened deco and also a hi-tech life-sensor that measures each hit add to the ultimate battle experience."

The kids didn't waste anytime to get out the new HEXBUG spiders when they arrived and choose which they wanted to be in "charge" of first. They pulled them out and found a spot to battle! Even my husband got into a battle with P. They had a blast! The nice thing about the HEXBUG spiders are that they are super easy to use. They are small but hubby didn't have any issues playing with them.

"The HEXBUG Battle Spider is an electro-mechanical marvel to watch and operate. The six-legged spider features 360 degree steering and an LED forward eye, allowing the user to maneuver it around objects and control precisely where it scurries as it battles against its opponent. Each HEXBUG Battle Spider features a two-channel, user selectable infrared remote control. The two- channel remote control enables the user to operate multiple bugs independently or at the same time. HEXBUG Battle Spider is compliant with CPSIA standards. Approved for children ages 8 and up.  MSRP $29.99"

The kids are now hooked on the HEXBUG spiders. They have even involved the kitties in playing with them. Running them around the house.  They have been great for days that we have been kept inside due to heat or rain.  They are really easy to get going just make sure they are one different channels when two are together or one person will have both moving together. We found out that one very fast when my son made his sisters move when she wasn't ready to "battle".

  1. My boys love the Hexbugs. I find it amusing when they misplace them then stumble upon a great find.

haha yes that is always amusing. They are pretty tiny so I am sure they would be easy to misplace some of them.
