CreaClip Review Giveaway

I want to share with you a great way to save some money by doing things at home. I am always trying to find ways to save money. I save money on food, always shop sales and combine coupons when I can. I watch for clothing and toy sales. I don't buy things we don't need for the most part. I cut D and P's hair at home with a $25 set of clippers.

Early in the summer I entered a giveaway over on A Motherhood Experience, this giveaway really peaked my interest as it was a great way to save money! I have always trimmed my own hair at home. I think in my whole almost 30 years I have had 4 haircuts in salons! One of my last haircuts I got 14 inches cut off, that was almost 2 years ago come November.

Anyways back to the giveaway! It was for this nifty contraption called the CreaClip. It is a clip you use to cut your own hair and bangs. Hmm do I trust going there? Sure why not so sign me up for this giveaway. I poked around their site after reading Alyssa's review and was very excited about the product.

When the giveaway ended I got an email saying I was the winner, Yay! I was very excited to try this product out and I really wanted to do side swept bangs. This will save me $35 + on a salon cut, since I rarely "cut" my hair more just trims ever couple months.

So off I went back to the CreaClip website to check out ALL the videos they have on cutting your have with the CreaClip. I will tell you I spent hours looking at the videos before I received the clips in the mail. I also want to learn more about the inventor. Here is some info on the inventor:

"Mai Lieu is President, CEO and founder of CreaProducts LLC, a product development and consulting firm that inspires and delivers innovative and creative products that enrich the consumer's quality of life. As an inventor and entrepreneur with 15 years experience in the beauty industry, she's won more than 7 first-place international hairdressing awards. "

I received my CreaClip and was nervous to try it. Once I re-watched the videos over and over again, I thought I can do this. I just jumped right into it and trimmed up the bottom of my hair and then went for side swept bangs! I used to have bangs but for the last 6 or more years I have grown them out. The CreaClip was easy to use once you get the feel of it. The bangs I played with starting longer and then going shorter. I do really recommend watching the videos until you are comfortable before cutting. I also suggest a good set of hair cutting scissors. I have even trimmed A's hair and it was easy and she wasn't freaked out.

I am on the right with the dark brown hair, with side swept bangs :)

They are easy to clean and store and guess what? You save money! The set retails for $29.99 plus shipping (International shipping is $9.95) and you can by it on their website. I do understand it is a bit pricey at $40.00 but remember that is a one time cost. Believe me I have already got my money's worth with the amount of times I have used it.

Connect with CreaClip on Facebook or Twitter.

Win!

  3. My mom used to cut my hair as a child. She did a great job until she got to my bangs. Many times my bangs were cut much too short and were crooked. I'm sure this hair tool would have helped her!!

  5. the last terrible haircut I had was when I was a teen. the person cutting it must not have had much in the way of training because the cut was so uneven, I had to go to another place to get it fixed..inches and inches cut off just to make it look decent

  7. I was going into grade 9 and my regular hairdresser was away on holidays so my mom brought me to a mall hairdressing salon. The guy that cut my hair butchered it! He cut my bangs so short. I looked horrible. To make things worse, they took the yearbook photos about 2 weeks after that cut. So I had to start highschool and have a permanent reminder of the bad cut because of the grade 9 yearbook picture.

  8. I don't have a horrible hair cut story. Like you, I seldom cut my hair, just trims, so not much room for error.

One time I was cutting my sons hair with clippers and forgot to put the attachment on. I cut a bald strip right down the center of his head so then I had no choice but to do his whole head bald. Thank god his hair grows fast!

  9. When I was in high school I had long hair. I decided one day that I wanted something different. I went to a hair dresser and he said that I would look good with short layered hair. Big mistake it to forever to grow all the lengths out evenly and it look horrible.

  10. When I was a teenager I went into a salon I normally went to to get my hair done. They were usually pretty good there. I always asked to keep longer layers. The last time I went there, she did short, I mean too short of layers for my face frame:( I was so disappointed and horrified to go to school without a hat on, till it grew out, YES it was that bad.
