Halloween 2011

I hope everyone had a great and safe Halloween last night! We decided this year to venture across town to do some trick-or-treating with our kids.

The last few years we have made our children's costume or accessories this year was a little different. First A was going to be a Tiger (I had a friend give me a Tiger costume when P was a baby), P had his heart set out on being a Vampire.

When I was at Blissdom Canada Used Everywhere was there with a booth. They had a bunch of items up for a giveaway in their area. I entered the Halloween costume giveaway as I spotted a cute Snow White costume and I have been thinking about making a dress-up trunk for A. At the end of the conference the winners were announced and I had won a Costume!

I won the Pink Dragon

A was very excited to see her new costume and instantly changed her mind and was going to be a pink dragon for Halloween. For P we decided not to make the costume this year and we picked one up at Wal Mart. We were able to get one that wasn't badly priced for a new costume, spent $15. We had face paint for P but picked up some cheap pink make-up for A. Next year I would like to get some good quality face paint as my kids LOVE their faces painted.

Halloween morning we headed out to playgroup which was a Halloween themed play today and the kids dressed up. The kids were very excited and even more excited to see they could get their faces painted by their FAVE playgroup leader :) A went first and went with a puppy face (Dalmatian). This is a new Hybrid Dragon for 2011
P stayed with his Halloween costume theme as a Vampire.
The kids wanted to trick-or-treat right away but we were able to hold them off until just after 6pm. We headed out for our trick-or-treating fun.

We were out for a while as P wanted one more house, we came home just around 8:30 and the kids were exhausted and went pretty much right to bed. Candy to be sorted the next day.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween! Leave me a comment telling how your Halloween went or pop over to Facebook and "Like" Canadian Coupon Mom and share your lil princesses and goblins pictures!

Thanks Rory! she made a cute pink dragon. The weather was great! I was very nervous as they were calling for snow at one point.
