Choosing the Right Credit Card

I have had credit cards since heading off to college, just over 12 years. Now I know credit cards have a bad rap as they can indeed find people in huge debt, but remember those people in debt with a credit card did that themselves. The most important thing is to learn how to use a credit. They are a great key to build a great credit report.

Do you have a college student or a high school student you would like to teach about spending money wisely and building credit? I remember my parents sent me off with x amount of cash and a credit card that I could buy my school stuff with. Looking back now, if prepaid credit cards were available I am sure my parents would have went that route.

Are you trying to rebuild your credit report after a bad debt? Rebuilding can be very hard as a lot of credit card companies either don't want to give you a credit card or it comes with a big interest rate.

Prepaid credit cards are typically just like a normal credit card except for when you apply for the credit card you will determine a credit limit and put that money up front on the card. It is preloaded card that can be used just like a regular credit card. They can be used at the mall, grocery store, online, booking hotels etc. They can even be used for cash withdrawals at the bank machine.

As with other credit cards, there is an annual interest rate and you are expected to pay your bill each month. This will help rebuild or build ones credit. Continue to pay in full or make your monthly payments on time you will reap great rewards in the end.
When looking through all the different cards available some will offer cash back on purchases.  These are great bonus' that we love. Usually the bonus will be cash back or money to be used in store. It is usually a percent and sometimes it will different with what your purchase is or where it is made. We have a great store card that we earn money on to use in store. It builds fast and has actually helped us out when we need gifts for family members.

Have you decided this is something you are interested in learning more about? Check out all the Credit cards with to see which would fit your needs to best.
