Battleship Live Board Game Review

With the warm weather just about here, I know a lot of us are planning to spend lots of time outdoors but for those rainy days or even in the evenings there are some great board games out by Hasbro to get rid of the boredom and pass the time.

One game my husband and son love is Battleship Live. Okay I admit it, it is a lot of fun. This new age spin on the classic board game is fantastic. The game board is very different from the classic game but the concept is still the same - sink your opponents ships. In this game you have an interactive game tower and board (pretty cool how it works) It will recognize where your pieces and finger tips are at.

This game is recommended for ages 8+ but I helped our 5 year old son play with my husband the first time. I do see why it does recommend that age as you do need to be able to read the board and pieces. Listening skill are needed! My son did pretty well though for 5 and when they played the second time he was almost a pro at it.
Listen to the talking tower to give you all the directions you need to sink your opponents ships. I like the feature if you missed what was said you can have the tower repeat it. Once or twice the board was thrown off and said something different but it is pretty accurate. It is a fun game for sure. My husband gave it two thumbs up and was talking to a few people already about how much he likes it.
Contents: electronic tower, gameboard, 2 divider screens, 10 ships, 2 cannons, 2 command pegs, spy plane, track, and startup guide. It folds up easily to be stored in its original box which I love. Made for 2 players. Ages 8+ and it does require 4 "AA" batteries which are not included.
You can find Battleship Live at Zellers, Walmart and Toys R Us, look for Hasbro games in your favorite store. Retails for $49.99.
