Quick Afternoon Weekday Snack - Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies #LMDConnector

For a quick afternoon snack I love warm right out of the oven cookies. I mean really who doesn't love cookies? In my house we love peanut butter (okay I am a peanut butter addict) and also chocolate!

My daughter and I love to bake on the days she is off school and he brother is at school. I know next year A and I will both be missing our mommy/daughter day. She looks forward to it all the time. We usually craft, bake, thrift shop and play. A's favourite past times are baking and designing (drawing pictures of outfits - she is only 5 but 19 going on 20)

This week we decided to bake up some quick and easy cookies - Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies. We love the cake mix cookies and you can find some great ideas on the Life Made Delicious website from General Mills.
 And now for the recipe:

Ingredients:
  • 1 pkg Betty Crocker* SuperMoist* Golden Cake Mix
  • 1 1/4 cups (300 mL) crunchy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup (50 mL) packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup (50 mL) butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups (500 mL) milk chocolate chips
Directions:
  • Heat oven to 350ºF (or 325ºF for dark or nonstick baking sheets). In large bowl, beat cake mix, peanut butter, brown sugar, butter and eggs with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • On ungreased baking sheets, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart.
  • Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are set (centres will be soft). Cool 1 minute; remove from baking sheets to cooling racks.
These cookies are so quick and easy to whip up for an afternoon snack or for after dinner. I bake mine big and only bake for 10 minutes. This left them soft and gooey just how I like them! You can find this recipe and so many more at Life Made Delicious.
As a Life Made Delicious blogger I want to let you in on a few great things that General Mills is offering at the moment. Check out specially marked GM products for Buy one Get one Movie tickets and snacks. Great for a family night to the movies or how about a date night with your spouse?

Keep an eye out for new limited time Cheerios! Peanut Butter flavored, I can't wait to try these out and mix them with the Chocolate Cheerios.
