Crimson Groves #BookReview

About a week ago I told you about the start of this great book tour beginning and the great giveaway with it. Check out that post and enter the giveaway

The book begins by introducing us to Abbigail Tate (Abby) as we follow her on her way to work. We quickly learn about Abby and a heart breaking relationship, her boyfriend and best friend where found together. That night at work we also learn about her father leaving her when she was young when she receives a very strange phone call from her father.

Abby meets a mysterious handsome guy while she is working the bar that night and he walks her home. The story moves really fast in the beginning and gets right into the vampire life. It had me not wanting to put down the book until I was done. With each page I was trying to guess what would happen next but the ending wasn't what I expected. I don't want to give away the great storyline that Ashley uses but these vampires have very special magic almost like a sorceress.

Ashley's writing style flows together very well and she gives a great balance of detail to what is going on along with great dialogue. Abby was very well written, she is spunky and has a head on her shoulders. Her character is very likeable and I liked her right off the start. I didn’t like Bronx from the time her walked into the bar and was actually very happy to see how his character played out in the book. I did like the relationship that was starting to form between her and Tyler and I am wondering how Ashley will play it out in book 2. I am also interested to learn more about Stone another vampire that Abby met along her travels in Crimson Groves.

This is a great book for anyone who likes to read about vampires, it was very different from the everyday vampire books and will keep you wanting more.
